Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 titles have been earned on hard surfaces
A revitalized the Russian player claimed his initial title for 882 days with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has endured a torrid period, winning just one win at the major tournaments and experiencing a setback at the New York tournament.
The player's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in specific - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with long-term mentor Cervara.
Now training with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently improved in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over Frenchman Moutet.
It is Medvedev's first title since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt after that period of the previous year.
Success also indicates Medvedev has won twenty-one championships at 21 different tournaments.
"For the first time I have attended a event with my two daughters at once, so to secure a championship is particularly special," stated world number 14 the champion.
"This championship is in honour of my younger daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I got when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six finals, comprising in that event earlier this year.
His defensive play style and recurring reactions on court had caused observers to wonder if his skill to perform at the top level was concluded.
Yet the player has made changes in the past month, striving to advance forward and perform assertively, reinforced by an improved service.
The champion recovered from a deficit in the initial set against the challenging Moutet, securing four of the last five games to go ahead.
The pair swapped break points in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his first ATP Tour title, gained dominance to force a third set.
He rescued 4 initial break points in a competitive third set before Medvedev won the break to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, he clinched victory with a point at the net, with Moutet incapable to control a return after over two and a half hours.
